Hi there welcome to worlmeals where i write about the food every country this will be my second post . Today ill write about another country in south america and its the largest one BRAZIL
This country which is rich with natural resources will be my second post. N
ow lets see what delicious food this country has to offer

These are 10 dishes of brazil 


1. MOQUECA
More than a mere fish stew , moqueca is served with theatrical flourish as the piping hot clay pot is uncovered at the table amid clouds of  fragnant steam.

At its simplest,fish or other seafood are stewed in diced tomatoes, onions and coriander. 
You could add annatto seeds for a natural red food colouring or much heavier version made with palm oil,peppers and coconut milk . 
It's teamed with rice , farofa and pirao



2 . BRIGADERS
Brigadeiros are brazil chocolate truffle, they are so simple to make that even kids can make them .

The sweet balls are made by simmering condensed milk with cocoa powder , then whisking in butter and shaping the mix into balls before rolling in chocolate sprinkles. 

Guaranteed to give an instant sugar high , they're cloyingly sweet for some palates


3 . QUINDIM

A favourite from bahia , quindim is a glossy yellow sweet treat made with nothing more than eggs, sugar and coconut (with butter) .

 Baked in cupcake-sized moulds, the bottom is toasted and golden ,dense with grated coconut, while the top is a smooth , firm custard that sticks pleasinly to the roof of the mouth


4 .FEIJOADA

One of the tasty dishes of brazil , The feijoada is a lovely stew of black beans , sausages and cuts of pork of varying quality traditionaly veering towards the lower end, with trotters and all ears going into the mix . 
If you make it the old fashioned way it take up to 24 hours .

Caldinho de feijao is a lighter version which contains less meat.


5 . RUMP STEAK 

barbecued meat is a brazilian specialty picanha is the most popular cut and it is seasoned with only salt before its cooked to perfection . 

Picanha is one of the highlights you'll find at a brazilian barbecue ofcourse there is also plenty of others including wild boar meat and chicken heart


6. VATAPA

a thick stew made from shrimp, bread , ground nuts , coconut milk, palm oil, and a mixture of herbs which is masked into a paste . 

It's often served with rice or with another brazilian dish ACARAJA.

There are different kinds of the dish , the shrimp can be replaced with tuna , chicken or vegetables


7 . ARACAJE

Acaraje is another dish from bahia and its made from black eyed  peas which are masked with salt and pepper and then deep fried in palm oil . 

There is a heathier version of the dish where the ingredients are boiled .

It can also be served together with VATAPA


8 . PAO DE QUEIJO

The pao de queijo is a famous brazilian "chease bread" 
The dough is made from cassave flour and queijo minas a brazilian soft cheese . They can be eaten anytime of the day  like a snack 

Also brazilians often eat this for breakfast with cheese and jam


9 . EMPADAO

empadao is essentially a chicken pie , ithas a delicious , flaky crust which is filed with casseroled chicken and a mix of vegetables  such as corn , hearts of palm and peas .
Also beef and shrimp are somtimes used instead of chicken 
You can find this dish in any street stall in brasil 


10 . FAROFA

Farofa is a salty , delicious , mushy dish made from small pieces of bacon fried with tapioca flour , its is served with rice and beans which absorbs the smokeynes of bacon . Recipes contain various amount of salt , bacon, spices and consistency of farofa varies greatly
